SAN FRANCISCO PROFESSIONAL
DOG WALKERS ASSOCIATION
Our Mission:
info@sfprodog.org
PRO DOG was established in 1998 and is a
supportive community of Professional Dog walkers,
Sitters, and Trainers in San Francisco. We are
dedicated to providing the highest quality of care to
the animals entrusted to us, thereby increasing the
number of well-behaved and socialized dogs in San
Francisco, as well as advocating responsible park
usage in order to preserve them for future use.
PRO DOG was a stakeholder and sent
representatives to meet with the Recreation and
Parks Department during the formation of the dog
policy. PRO DOG currently remains involved in the
process by sending representatives to the Dog
Advisory Committee meetings as well as keeping
members informed. PRO DOG has representation
with the ANPR process for the GGNRA (national
park usage). Prodog was a big contributor to the dog
walker legislation that was signed into law in 2012
and continues to work on permit requirements with
Animal Care and Control.
